I just finished watching the fourth episode. I know that it is very difficult to adapt a movie from a book without having to change a few things, leave a few things out and take some creative license, however, in this instance they got the whole feel of the TV series wrong. It’s much darker than the book. They’ve missed out on the friendships, the hope, and basically the whole wonderful feel of the book. The vision they have used for the TV show is very disappointing for someone who loved the book so much.
