This is a great novel written by Louisa May Alcott. There are many things I love about the novel. One of them is the fact that the main characters are imperfect, unstable and have many qualities similar to that of a normal human being with emotions. Amy is selfish, Meg is proud, Jo is hot-tempered, and Beth is shy. This is a beautifully written story featuring the girls' journey from childhood to womanhood. They face challenges, of course, but they learn to embrace the problems life throws at them. They learn to work together to build a brighter future for themselves. The characters morph from young girls dreaming about their castles in the air to young women building solid homes nurtured by love.
