Bought this book on a very high recommendation and was very disappointed. The murder mystery and eventual reveal itself was semi compelling however the writing was not. All the characters were unlikeable and badly written. Author relied very heavily on telling us their character traits over and over again without ever really showing us any of those traits in the novel. Very unconvincing. There’s also a pretty immediate distinction between who’s actually important and who’s just part of the nonessential setting because only a couple of the supposed main characters get their own narration during the POV switches. By the end of the book I was just so bored and fed up with literally every character I was almost disappointed when only one of them died. Would not recommend.
