I really liked this show. It didn’t seem scripted AT ALL to me and I truly don’t understand why people are saying that. It showcased all different types of families so that there is someone for everyone. As for the reviews that discuss “racism” (said loosely because I didn’t find it racist as no parent disparaged any race, just discussed how race can be a factor in the different ways you can raise a kid), you don’t have to agree with everything the parents say. That is the point. There are all different worldviews, religions, opinions, and parenting styles among the parents and your are going to identify with some more than others. The show is incredibly diverse and resonates with everyone in a different way. Overall, this show is incredibly informative and I gained a lot of insight and knowledge from it.
(Spoiler alert)
As for the woman who won, I believe she did deserve it. Her child performed the best in the tests. We don’t know if she is a stable relationship or not as she did not discuss it.
