I couldn't build any type of connection with the characters whatsoever, which felt like watching a big production amateur movie. Sure I didn't read the book but compared to Fifty Shades, Me Before You and other movies that follow the same pattern, this was a disaster. The acting felt shallow to say the least and it felt more like a highlight of the book rather than an actual adaptation. Blake was the cherry on top of the cake, everything she does feels forced and unnatural, especially the erotic scenes which I had to skip because, cringe. Two stars for the autumn-y lense and the the overall set
