For its time it is a very good movie! The special effects, although critiqued by younger movie watchers, are very good for the day. Along with such Classics as War of The Worlds, Night of the Living Dead, THEM, and Forbidden Planet. It is a great start to the Godzilla movie Groups! This version is not the first but is an Americanized extended version of the original. This movie was redone in a manner that American audiences would enjoy! It was the popularity of this version that started it all!
