Mr. Snark

Joaquin Phoenix plays a mentally ill down on his luck clown named Arthur Fleck, a character who you will sympathize with at the beginning of the film, and will mourn at the end as he transforms into the insane killer we all know and fear. This movie pulls no punches, and is accompanied by gorgeous cinematography and an absolutely haunting soundtrack. 2019 has proven to be an incredible year for superhero movies, and I can think of no better film to end the decade on than this. Marvel and DC are both on a roll, and as a comic book lover, I am in paradise.
