Madame Web is receiving a lot of hate, but honestly it feels like a breath of fresh air. The stakes are down to Earth and relatable. The plot is fine, although it definitely raises some questions about the future of the universe it happens in, specifically why Spider Man is reacted to as the first spider based hero when there are three others that might predate him. I thought it would be bogged down with too many characters and not enough introduction to them , like the Justice League movie, but it's actually quite the opposite. With the exception of a few bad lines of dialogue and a weird pacing decision in the middle, this movie is pretty good. I'd prefer to give it 3.5 but I'll err toward 4 in the absence of half ratings.
