Sugar is a series well worth your time especially if you enjoy LA noir, Colin Farrell and solid casting all around. I’m a sucker for all those aspects. I’ve read that Farrell’s character seems underdeveloped but I disagree. It could be that the giant secret ‘twist’ coming will lead to disappointment. If it does then I could see that as a downgrade of a really good series to just a good series. Either way, I feel my time with it has been well spent. Streaming series are a challenge because most these days feel adequate but not ‘good’ or ‘special’. Sugar feels a cut above.
