I'm not saying that the show is terrible, there is obviously a great amount of time and money put into it. I just believe that the show is stretched out way too long. The plot is confusing and excessive, there are parts of the story that are never resolved, and there plots that just make no sense whatsoever. I realize that having high expectations for a teen drama is being a little unfair, but I think with the number of fans that there are of this show, that the plot should be at least somewhat decent. Overall, the acting in the show isn't terrible, I just wished that there was a clear direction in the story and not just a whole bunch of complicated side stories that clash together. So as a recommendation to the directors, before you start a new season, think of a solid plot. It doesn't have to be complicated, as long as you have the main story throughout the season of the show, side plots will fall into place. Don't just come up with the show as it goes along.
Edit: No one has argued my point, but I figured I would add this anyway. I realize that there are several other issues with the show, everything from the horrible script, to the mess of the storyline. The point is, of course the script and plot are going to be horrible, it's a teen drama. I don't care how bad the writing is because the show is for young children. I just wish that the shows aggressive 8-year-old fan base stayed for the content rather than the "hot characters" and "edginess" (the use of drugs, alcohol, and sex in the show.) To put it into simpler terms, I don't care that the show isn't relatable, I just wish that they put some amount of effort into it.
