I'm the first to write a review about this movie? I find that absolutely amazing. As a performer in Vegas, I find this such a compelling watch.
I just re-watched this documentary in 2020-- during the pandemic (after first viewing it the year it came out in 2011) and to me the similarities of Conan being unemployed unceremoniously by the networks--and now many entertainers out of work due to this pandemic have so much in common. For me its a lesson in not giving up, doing what you love and letting your passion for what you do, drive you. It's a story on non-acceptance and getting up when you've been hit hard by something.
As I sit here and type this review, many of my friends in the entertainment industry are giving up---they are living in despair and trying to find new ways to do what they love.
This movie is a testament that if you don't quit, if you follow your heart and love what you do enough, you can punch thru the system and get where you want to be.
Thank you Conan O'Brian for recording this period in your life and sharing it. It's a great inspiration and true insight into what it's like to be on the road and struggle thru the pitfalls associated with stardom---the true lesson being-- never stop re-inventing yourself, never stop honing your craft---always staying true to who you are.
