I found this book quite a lively read. It has some nice messages about loyalty and believing in yourself, and it has characters that I actually cared about! It is age appropriate for tweens, without talking down to them, and still had plenty of appeal for me as an adult. I find myself wanting to know more about what happens to Jada and her clan. It sounds like she has quite an adventurous future lined up for herself. A great coming-of-age tale with an invitation to embrace destiny, without being bound by it. Kudos on your first novel, Shane Pinnegar.
