First off, this game is extremely buggy. From using scope enhancements crashing the game, looking through the floor in certain rooms, to enemies ragdolling and framerate crapouts, this game is very, very early in it's life. With that being said, it is definitely still very playable, and tons of fun.
This is probably one of the best games I've played in the last 2 years, other than Apex. Definitely a horror survival, but the horror is coming across hunters that travels in 3 or 4s, to FN1X Tanks shooting mortars, pulse shocks that knock you on the ground, and spawn dozens of ticks. This game is not nice to you if you are not prepared. The moment you hit the mainland, it ramps up difficulty quick. You can dight them, but it's much more fun with friends, especially when you're being chased through fields by a dozen dogs and no ammo. Everything is sparse, adding to the mystery of the peninsula and it's disappearance of everyone on the map. It's a different take on horror, but it fits the game well, and marries perfectly with the 80s themed horror music.
Generation Zero has the most potential if any game in the recent decade, and the devs need to work quick if they want this game to be successful. I very much want this game to be a top seller, cause it's super underrated and deserves a shot.
