I’m shocked at the people that give this show any higher than 3 stars. I debated giving it 1, but the fact I watched all 8 ep. To find out what happened made me give it a 2. There is one good actor in this and that is the detective. The general plot and suspense was what kept me engaged, but I could not get past the amount of holes in the story line. The way this ended had you thinking Maya (the main character) went through way too much work and effort to get to the end of the story. If I watched this show 20 years from now, it would be obvious that there was a writers strike going on while this was being filmed. I ended up being angry that I watched all 8 episodes. There was so much did not make sense. In reviewing this show, I am genuinely surprised by the positive reception it has received from some viewers. While I was initially inclined to assign it a mere 1-star rating, the fact that I persevered through all eight episodes to uncover the resolution compelled me to elevate my rating to a 2-star. Firstly, it is worth acknowledging the standout performance delivered by the detective character in this production. This actor's portrayal added a much-needed layer of credibility to the overall experience. Additionally, the general plot and suspense successfully maintained my interest throughout the series. Regrettably, these strengths were overshadowed by the numerous plot holes that plagued the storyline. The conclusion of the show left me questioning the immense amount of work and effort the main character, Maya, went through to reach the end. It felt excessive and convoluted, detracting from the overall cohesiveness of the narrative. In fact, if I were to revisit this show two decades from now, it would become painfully evident that it was produced during a period of writer's strike, as the lack of attention to detail is conspicuous. To my dismay, I found myself increasingly frustrated as I progressed through all eight episodes. The inconsistencies and lack of logical progression only served to further undermine the overall viewing experience. There were numerous aspects that failed to make sense, leaving me dissatisfied and perplexed. In conclusion, this show falls short of its potential and fails to deliver a coherent and engaging story. While it possesses a few commendable elements, such as a standout performance by the detective character and a captivating initial premise, it ultimately succumbs to a multitude of plot holes and an unsatisfying conclusion. As a result, I am left with a sense of regret and disappointment for having invested my time in watching all eight episodes.
