Martha Hall

I consider this the Chinese "Game of Thrones" and think it is every bit as riveting. I hated that Ning Yi and Feng Zhiwei were not able to heal the past and transcend the neverending self-blaming that doomed them. I learned a lot about Chinese history, customs, sexual norms, governance, and aestheics. I am in love with this series and have watched it three times-so far. I am old and the pandemic has kept me glued to the television. This is obviously my favorite series.
