Hi Scott I am a 57 year old single older mum of a teenager. I took yr advice to try to get home loan with U Bank as per yr book as I hv just come off 4.79% 5 year fixed rate with ANZ. My mortgage is $75,000 and U Bank's minimum amount I can loan is $100,000. I dont remember seeing that in your book about a minimum loan amount. At first I was told by 2 U Bank people over the phone that I could borrow the extra $25,000 and then pay it back immediately once loan was approved. Then a lender at U Bank said the only way to get a loan with them was to borrow the money using it all either on renovations or whatever. I was really down that I couldnt get a 2.49% loan with them as I didnt want to increase my mortgage. I rang ANZ and best they could offer me was 2.98% after negotiations using yr book as to what to say. Hv now applied to NAB at 2.69% over 20 years and am just waiting and hoping they will accept me. I am aiming to pay off loan over 8 to 10 years. I really was disappointed about U Bank's minimum loan amount. I do however love following yr ideas in your book. Kind regards Susan
