I entered the cinema already skeptical as I had heard dismal reviews from colleagues; deep inside I was hoping to be proven wrong but I found myself walking out the theatre after just 30 minutes of runtime.
The dialogue was terrible. I felt my toes curl up against the soles of my shoes as I watched seasoned Korean actors deliver painfully unfitting English lines; it felt so forced and to me, an obvious attempt to pander to an international audience.
The few dramatic scenes that I did witness were so poorly timed, newly introduced characters were killed off within minutes of their first appearance, and their deaths were meant to hold weight? - (their death scene played in slow motion against glaringly loud somber music).
I would not recommend watching this film to anyone that enjoyed the first, as this was a terrible waste of time and money and completely ruined the good memories and impressions I had of the first.
