The movie was able to incorporate comedy along with the raw and brutal dualism of poverty and organized crime in a Mexican town. There were times where I laughed out loud and times I was shocked at what came next. It's a dark comedy with emphasis on the paradoxical extremes of human nature. There are scenes of violence, gore and uncensored sexual content some may find unsuitable. The movie's primary goal was emulating reality, rather than capturing all audiences. Overall, it's a great film, with great acting and a powerful message. It kept me absorbed for entirety of it without a single dull moment.

Wow, just wow. I will not write a full review, as you can refer to the others, but this film is one of my favorites of all times. it has been one of my favorites since it came out 20+ years ago. It is so inspiring and always makes me shed a tear at some parts. It’s been one of my favorites, since it came out. Definitely worth watching. It will immerse you so powerfully you and make you forget everything else while you watch it.
