…I don’t know where to start. These people who made this show, based the script of boomers vs gen z on memes they got from scrolling on social media and thought “yeh let’s add zombies into the plot and we’ve got a show”. Reminds me of writing prompts I did as a 13 year old. And yet the worst thing about it all is that I watched it. It’s so bad, that it unintentionally became a strange satirical comedy.

This is a review for season two. As soon as I watched the first episode of season 2, I knew it would be the same thing. Having such a predictable plot is not a good thing. I knew instantly it would be about the older sister and the viscount right from the beginning and not the beginning of the season, no the beginning of the first episode of s2. Come on. We’ve already seen that in S1, no matter how much you change everything, the core is still the same. It’s pathetic.

It’s supposed to be a documentary but the US love to dramatise everything that the rest of the world cannot take their “documentaries” seriously. It’s very simple, stick to the facts America, stop trying to make everything into a theatrical drama, the whole world sees it as cringe and can’t take it seriously. It takes away from the victims and their families. US people can’t understand how terrible their “documentaries” are because they’re so used to over the top dramatisation. People’s tragedies are not something to be monetised like the seppos love so much to do

This show is really fun to watch and is obviously a show that is supposed to be lighthearted but when you watch shows, you can only be entertained with the amount of realism. As someone who was nearly murdered, the only vice of this show is the absurdity that when they encounter murderers, they somehow get so upset that they omit murdering for their feelings of…anger…yeh can tell you personally no murderer does this or any documentary will show this about murderers. When you make any murderer angry, they WILL want to kill you more. The second episode were one of the killers doesn’t splice her with the katana doesn’t even show the anger of a serial killer who would want to get rid of a person who bested them. It’s so dumb, so utterly stupid this way that this show is. In the end it’s clear it’s supposed to be lighthearted but Jesus Christ, writers, producers, director, be a little more realistic for the audience. You can be a fantasy or sci fi genre but Did you people not study in film that that is what they say for the audience to believe and like a show? There’s a certain sort of realism you have to pertain to despite it being fake.

This show reels you in within the first two episodes with good acting and then after that, it’s a very slow, slow pace. I thought it was supposed to be sci-fi but it’s more drama with sci-fi to uphold the drama. If you’re into drama then this is the show for you. I don’t know why the writers thought it was a good idea to bring in characters that eventually were supporting actors to Juliette. The actress in my opinion can’t act properly. I think her character is autistic? Her acting reminds me of my autistic niece - smart but has trouble conveying emotions. I’m pretty sure the character Juliette is not supposed to be perceived this way. Honestly it’s just bad acting. An actor/actress is supposed to reel in the audience even if the character is a bad person. There’s many characters in movies and TV shows where they annoy you but you know it’s the character of the show and not the actor/actress. In this instance, it’s just the actress that lacks the skills of bringing the audience into the show. She can’t convey enough emotions for the audience to empathise or sympathise with her.

How to ruin the memory of a great show - make a remake has none of the charisma of the original show, none of the quality and characters you can’t relate to at all. The original show did more with showing the inequality black people faced then this show. It’s just trying to hard

Only Americans could make something all about them. Did they forget that Mario is Italian and not American and if he was going to be from any other country, it would make more sense if it was Japan and not the US since super Mario was made by the Japanese. Really ruined a childhood classic by changing the essence of the game

I’m not even halfway through the first episode but got completely turned off by the script already. I’m Aussie and the way they portrayed us Aussies was already cringe within the first 20 minutes. Reading the rest of the reviews, I’m glad I called it in early especially with people saying that they are throwing in stupid Aussie stereotypes. Heck, within the first 20 minutes (which again, that is all I watched before coming here to read the reviews) I got an American vibe instead of what is supposed to be our Aussie outback and small towns. Tf wrote this? Hard pass

I actually took the time to write a review because how BAD this movie was. Any adult in Australia, I’m saving you your 30 dalloroos. It was so bad that I left the movie after about an hour. The movie is 2.5 hours long and they could have condensed the movie but there was just so much waffling. SPOILER Also the plot is really stupid. “We came to protect humans from deviants because we made the deviants to take out the predators that prevented “intelligent” life. Oh but the deviants learnt and became better predators like all life yet the celestials who made them somehow forgot to program them properly. They can see beyond but not with that. Yeh kind of goes against building intelligent life which is Needed to sustain “intelligent” life that sustains a celestial. Oh Thanos? Wiping out half the population that is needed to sustain a celestial? Nah we won’t help. Sorry, that’s about all we’ll protect you from coz this big dude says so” Big celestial dude: “hey btw Sersi, know you’re new to the job. Let me just tell you you’re like a robot and you’re on earth to birth celestials. Basically you’re all gonna die and your mission to protect humans is now to eradicate all of them and everything on earth including yourselves. I know I said to protect them but what I really meant is make sure they multiple since you know other life can’t do this to fuel the celestial being. I know, I know, but basically the celestial being needs brain power. No no, just focus on the humans not other intelligent life forms. Anyway, just get it to a certain point and then everything including you will die Ok byyye” Sersi: “hey guys, we’ve been destroying planets for millions of years. Can’t remember it but let’s just all of a sudden change and save this planet. I don’t think I’ve ever felt this way after doing this for millions of years but now after getting laid by one of their citizens which I’m sure has never happened in millions of years, I feel different and need to save this planet” This movie will steal your time and that’s about all it’s good for

So much potential but the acting and the music does not suit what the story could be. To be honest I haven’t really paid attention to this show, I’ve just watched 2 episodes - a bad sign. Im still waiting for it to get better only because I support Aussie shows but alas it’s not really worth it.
