We looked forward to Rosie’s Rules, we anticipated a show about a young Mexican girl with a similar layout to Alma’s Way. I miss Maya and Miguel and thought yes! Here is going to be a show with those similar lessons and strengths. I love Rosie’s cat and her relationship with her grandma and tia. That is why I gave the show two stars. Rosie’s voice could Be better. The mom being Caucasian serves to represent many families out there, which is wonderful. I truly yearned for the SAME POSITIVE parent example as Alma’s Way: a culture strong 💪🏼 parent team united in showing their child the importance of family and community. It’s almost as if Rosie’s mom is a bystander in the show rather than an example. Rosie continually needing to reach out to Abuela further proves this. There are two parent Mexican homes, please PBS give us our space for representation too. 🇲🇽
