After absolutely loving Assassins Creed Origns and Odyssey, of which I played them both from beginning to end including the DLC's, so we're talking a good 5 months of combined gameplay, I was really looking forward to jumping in to Witcher, of which I expected to be blown away. I've tried 3, maybe 4 times to get into this game and for whatever reason I just find it ... boring. It feels like a completely watered down version of the last two AC games, lacking the charm, combat system and 'enjoyability' of Origins and Odyssey. Obviously this game rates high with a lot of people. But I'm completely bemused as to why, there are so many better games which are similar (Red Dead, Hellblade, Monster Hunter etc.) All I can think of is that they are either fans of the previous games so have some sort of loyalty or they have not played many open world/RPG games. Nevertheless, I will be skipping this as it is just not for me. Roll on Assassins Creed Valhalla!

An absolute gem of a game. I've been a Sonic fan since I was around 6-7 years old, so basically when Sonic first launched the Master System. I'm 37 now and have a 5 year old son who is literally in love with Sonic the hedgehog. We first started playing Sonic Generations just over a year ago and although we finished the game a while ago now, we still dip into this (along with Sonic Forces), at least once a week. The game is absolutely gorgeous. The way they have re-made the classic levels (Green Hill, Chemical Plant etc.) but with also keeping the feel of the classic levels is absolutely genius. The ability to play each level in either 'classic' 2D or the newer 3D is also fantastically done. The classic music is also there but as with the new/old theme, you can choose to listen to classic song arrangements or newer versions of the classic songs. The game basically combines everything an old school Sonic fan of the original 2d scrollers would love and everything my son loves (3D, Faster paced, better character development) into one amazing game. It has to be one of the best and most underrated Sonic games of all time!

Absolutely ground breaking at the time and still one of my all time favourite (if not overall favourite) series of all time. I watched it when it first aired in the UK back in 1997 as a 13 year old and was immiedietly hooked. I was there as a 19 year old with a tear rolling down my cheek as the final ever episode aired. There's been many, many great series which have aired since but for me, nothing comes close to Buffy. I rewatched the entire series with my now wife 12 years ago and i've just started watching it again from episode 1, and as a now 37 year old, I can honestly say I find it just as enjoyable, if not more so than I did back in 1997. An absolute must watch for everybody!

I've just finished the game after roughly 8-9 hours. It's not the longest game in the world to beat but what it lacks in this department it more than makes up for in the sheer immersive experience. There's a good combination of combat and puzzles although it definitely leans more towards the puzzle side than an all-out action adventure. The combat system is basic although enjoyable and easy to 'get to grips with'. The strength of the game comes from the beautiful but bleak level design and overall atmosphere which is created throughout the game. Senua suffers from Psychosis so you hear voices throughout which often give you hints and tips, but they can also attempt to confuse you and fill you with doubt! This is definitely a unique feature in the game and one that enhances the already dark atmosphere. The game really feels like a AAA game - The graphics, sound and overall deisgn of the levels are absolutely first class. And now that Microsoft have purchased the company which made Hellblade, I literally can't wait to see what the developers have come up with for the sequel which is due out towards the end of this year, especially with a much bigger budget, support and on the next gen Xbox Series X/S. It could easily be one of the best games on the next gen console for years to come. This game is currently on Game Pass, so is an absolute no brainer. Go and play it, TODAY!
