After absolutely loving Assassins Creed Origns and Odyssey, of which I played them both from beginning to end including the DLC's, so we're talking a good 5 months of combined gameplay, I was really looking forward to jumping in to Witcher, of which I expected to be blown away.
I've tried 3, maybe 4 times to get into this game and for whatever reason I just find it ... boring. It feels like a completely watered down version of the last two AC games, lacking the charm, combat system and 'enjoyability' of Origins and Odyssey.
Obviously this game rates high with a lot of people. But I'm completely bemused as to why, there are so many better games which are similar (Red Dead, Hellblade, Monster Hunter etc.) All I can think of is that they are either fans of the previous games so have some sort of loyalty or they have not played many open world/RPG games. Nevertheless, I will be skipping this as it is just not for me. Roll on Assassins Creed Valhalla!
