Sometimes you walk out of movies having learnt something you never knew about life, some other times you see your everday moments as larger than life portrayals on the silver screen...yet there are some films that capture the essence of life as is, and leave you with a feeling of deep satisfaction of a story well told. This movie may not be a favourite among many regular film goers or fancied by the generation of 'instant gratification & over stimulation', but to those for whom film-making is an unattainable dream, filled with sacrifices, patience from dear ones, and an abundance of grace from God, this movie will speak volumes. Having personally watched the struggle of many artists in the industry from a close range, I commend director Salim Ahmed for taking the simple realities of life and capturing truth as should be told. No frills. No extra fittings. A good story told well enough. And for an entire film to run on the shoulders of a single person...no one could have been a better choice than Tovino Thomas for the lead character. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed every frame of this film and commend the entire team of 'And the oscar goes to' for their simple and profound storytelling.
