It sparked our imagination and took us to the place Hawkwind and Barney Bubbles painted. Perfection. Quark Strangeness and charm came close thanks to another great collaboration between Brock and House, but the rear cover of Hall of the Mountain Grill and D Rider reminds me that Hawkwind in 74 were so much more than Silver Machine. Their finest hour without doubt. Hall of the Mountain Grill will in time rank up there with Tubular Bells and Camel's the Snow Goose as the finest example of progressive music of the era.
