Gitanjali brings out the soul from within. It strives to portray that this world and humans are filled with a cosmic boon and everyone has to drink it's share from the fountain of life. One has to shed the cloak of self and merge oneself into the ocean of universal self. The poems are written in simple language with metaphors and ornaments drawn from ordinary life but tinged with divine grace. They are to be felt and not explained.
