Colson Baker just brought my inner pop punk kid back to life with just one record!! I can’t even pick a favourite because they were all amazing in their own way. The ones that immediately had me hooked were Forget Me Too, Lonely (its so sad I wanna give Colson a hug) and drunk face. Jawbreaker grew on me after two listens, play this when I’m gone is very emotional and almost made me cry, and kiss kiss is just like a summertime bop. Title Track is a nice introduction to the whole album and WWIII has blink all over it. Kevin and Barracuda interlude made me laugh so hard, and it transitions nicely into concert for aliens. It’s also so sweet that Pete and Colson never leave each other out of their projects. The banyan tree interlude is so sweet, hearing Colson talk about Megan and love. I know some people don’t like the spoken interludes because they tend to disturb the flow of the album, but for me, it’s nice to take a break from the instrumentals and just listen to the artists talk for a while. The collaborations with iian dior and Trippie Redd are also great, but not as captivating as the others. All in all, this is one of my favourite records of the year. Kids from this generation definitely needs to hear this. I’m so proud of Colson and I hope he continues to make meaningful and great music.
