🚨 Disclaimer: I am huge John Wick fan so some may find the review a bit biased. But I can’t help it 😄.
The movie begins with John trying to find his path to freedom. The high table appoints a new head with the expectation of curbing John Wick.
The movie revolves around John’s efforts to earn his freedom from The High Table.
Right from the beginning, the movie springs into action mode. It is fast paced, yet there is a serene classic clam in the way it progresses.
The new “head” orders the desecration of the New York continental. With that he invites the wrath of Winston, who later plays a key role in enabling John take his freedom.
The introduction of character Caine, played by Donnie Yen takes the experience to a whole new level. He plays an ex-assassin who despite being blind has the mettle to taken in the mighty Wick.
Action aside, the movie brings out the emotions associated with freedom beautifully and I personally fell in love with Cain.
The action of course is outstanding. I personally felt action to be a bit less visceral than than the earlier versions. But the fighting scenes between John and Cain were a joy to watch.
The scene where John struggles to climb the stairs to reach the venue of his duel is a classic!
The move ends with poetic justice and leaves a lasting impression.
Highly recommended movie and I strongly encourage people to watch it!
