A movie so beautifully directed, with a script that combines two languages Hindi and English so naturally.
The entire cast were fantastic, from the two main actors, to the actors with the shortest parts, you felt as if they were living their parts rather than acting. Most of them were in their debut roles and were brilliant under Sooni Taraporevala’s direction.
The story is based on true events that took place not long ago in the lives of two young boys from the slums of Mumbai.
The movie is a visual feast. The locations bring out the character of Mumbai, the colourful little slum colony, the fishing village, the bright boats in the glow of the golden evening light.
It is both tough and tender.
Sooni subtly tackles social issues relevant to the underprivileged and creates a much needed optimism.
I absolutely loved how so many different emotions are so sensitively portrayed.
Most of all the message in this film is so positive for the new generation....to believe in themselves, to be persistent and to work hard towards their goals.
A must see film that will brighten your spirit and stay with you for a longtime.
