Literally a waste of time, you can read the longer 1 star reviews for a deeper explanation but it was slow, lacked any sort of depth and extremely irritating. Plot did not make sense (weird animal migration, son losing his teeth and nobody else is affected, busy town but for some reason the family are the only people around, neighbors are all missing except the one survivalist that somehow has all the answers, weird plot turns like the daughter and husband flirting). None of it made any sense and the end was too quick and not even exciting enough. Why did G.H go to a crazy conspiracy theorist for medical aid? Literally go anywhere else? How did the daughter magically end up at the Thornes house and why wasn’t it already occupied? These types of movies try and give off an edge but it never works and always feels like a waste of time and money. The white family had zero chemistry and the character personalities didn’t even align. Not to mention weird racial microaggressions and that one scene where Julia Roberts and Mahershala Ali were borderline about to cheat on their spouses. Then she says she hates him five seconds later???? Please find another movie I promise this isn’t as deep or intriguing as TikTok tries to make it seem. Ugh
