I'm not gonna say much about cinematography of the film except that it leaves much to desire. The CGI at some scenes are painfully obvious that it takes your mind away from the scene. The geography of Egypt of that era is presumably wrong as well though I'm not sure. What my pet peeve with this movie is, that it doesn't bring the audience with events that's taking place. Everything happens off the screen. We are only with Poirot asking everyone about their past. All we get is their past. We don't see Poirot analyse any clues so that we can guess from our side as well. At the end we see Poirot present his hypothesis while we see flashbacks that was never hinted at. And all he has to back against his hypothesis is only a single piece of evidence that we weren't even aware of Poirot ever analysing. Without his revelation at the end the viewers would be completely unable to guess who is the culprit because at that point it still seemed like anyone. This just wasn't done well. Show, don't tell. I have read some of the books. I was very young so I don't really remember how the character differenciate from the books. But I'm pretty sure Poirot was never that emotional. The staple of a "Whodunit" mystery movie would be 'Knives out'. Similar premise yet presented in a vastly different way. 'Knives out' did it much much better.

My take on this is probably gonna be a lot different than a lot of people. See I had no idea what critical role was, let alone "Vox Machina". I'm not familiar with DnD stuff at all. Never was interested anyway. So I went in this show with zero expectation. But boy to my surprise, it's good!! Quite enjoyable honestly. Not on par with 'Invincible' or 'Arcane' obviously. But it is a really enjoyable watch. I'm not unfamiliar with rpg stuff so I didn't feel lost at all but I'd imagine it won't distract most viewers. Magic, elfs, dwarfs (gnomes), dragons... you know, typical fantasy stuff. Story is quite good. Gives a good introduction to the band. If you're into fantasy genre then it'll be right up your alley. It has the right amount of humour, gore, action and of course, character development. The animation is good too. Facial expressions really stood out to me. I was surprised to know that it started from a Kickstarter project. Now that I've completed season 1, I'm off to critical role. Highly recommend this series.
