Under a Venice Moon was ok. It was not the best book I have read about Venice, Italy, or travel. The story was at times engaging, and at other times it seemed disjointed, moving suddenly into Venetian history, then back to Perth, then to a Venetian restaurant. My main issue with this book was the overuse of the word "fondamenta". It was used on almost every single page. It was really annoying. I did feel the Venice she was looking for and the need and desire to fit in to Venice and the realisation that she never would. Overall, it was an ok read.
