I loved this book so very much. The author wrote this story with beautiful, heartfelt prose. It had all the elements I love. Magical realism, southern folklore, mystery, a little romance, characters that you just fall in love with and want to follow. It's an absolutely amazing book.
How in the world is this not only, more popular, but how is this Scott Fad's only book. I have tried to find more on this mysterious author. This book came out in 2010, and I had never heard of it til it was offered as an ARC on Netgalley in 2023! Described as Southern Magical Realism, and a Southern Epic. Well, that it definitely is ...but, I have so many questions.
Please read this book. It's absolutely one of my all time favorites.
