I gave it 5 stars because the brief 40 minutes episodes keeps you captivated. Regarding the theme of the series it lacks anthropological understanding. In other words, while touching on surface southern culture traits such us food, slang, accent, and some traditions, it misses portraying the real worldview. Next, it is similar to an American version of the British Doc Martin or even with the "Friends" series coming down south when it comes to plot and interpersonal relationships among the main characters. Also, the idea that small southern communities are parohialistic and clicish more than other regions is not true. Individualism, social division, as well as bullying are traits of any culture worldwide. I like the show, however, for just keeping me tense.
