Verbose. I get that the authors were trying to make a point but did they have to be so long winded about it?
As my first taste of the proclaimed literary maverick that Stephen King is said to be, I'm sorely disappointed. Did we really need a backstory on each one of the fifty something characters in this book? Did there have to be so many characters that eventually the names blurred together and their lives stopped having any meaning to the reader? And what was the point of the tiger and the peacock? Why such a sloppy ending for the main characters? What was the point of the entire plot?
Needless to say, this was very far from expectation.
