Let me start off my saying, the movie wasn’t as terrible as im about to make it seem. I just have a some details that kinda pissed me off throughout the movie. Yes I get cancel culture is huge now. But why does ever single marvel movie now have to revolve around women. Women superheroes are cool like wonder woman, and black widow. I am saying that shuri is not ready to be black panther. She does not do nearly as good of a job that king Tachala did. Throughout the 3 hours of this movie I saw the new black panther outfit for 30 minutes. The fact that there is a 19 year old girl that is able to create a ironman suit, easily. when it took tony stark years to perfect, just doesn’t make sense to me at all. The character that played ironhart was cringy and did not meet anyones expectations. We learn nothing about this girl and yet she knows how to create so many gadgets and is so smart. It seems that marvel is trying to portray women as so powerful when really they cant even do that if they tried their hardest. Another thing is they tried to make men look weaker except for namor. One example is mbaku, he is looked so down upon in this movie. He is not anywhere near to as strong as I thought he was. In the movie he tries to go against namor but is easily taken down with one punch. Marvel was trying so hard to meet new expectations so that they wont be deemed as racist or misogynistic that it just made the entire movie so annoying. The fighting scenes were pretty bad mainly just consisted of shooting laser guns or whatever. The only good fighting scene I liked was near the beginning when the french tried to steal vibranium. It was way too long and slow. The lighting is also very poor, when they tried to show the underwater city I couldnt even see anything I was trying to make up what was being shown. Other than that movie was decently okay. It was not as good as any other marvel Movie made before 2020. Marvel has gone down hill so much because of them trying to bring in so many women characters.
