A typical action film to entertain you with a box of popcorn 🍿 or a date night in the movie theatre.
The film had a solid story line based on the modern age scam industry run by immoral young IT geeks and their victims of old generation who fell behind the race to adopt in the new advanced world for their age.
But the story lost its way in the middle and turned into a unrealistic stunt show. As usual Jason Statham is putting another scar on his name performing in a one man army show once again, which is not a super hero science fiction film.
You'll enjoy if you are among most of the audiences those happy friendly faces with a nice smile who don't like to complain and easily satisfied. You use your brain elsewhere, not on the film you watch.
But if you are a classy film fan, who turns back to your good films collection again and again, or a critic of films then you're gonna see this one among those films which you'll not remember or come back to watch again only to be disappointed.
The story had the potential to be one of the great action films in the history. Yet it has lost its way in pursuit of Jason's one man stunt show.
A one man army of a super soldier have destroyed the entire White House security single handedly that's too much to digest for an adult. One after one Secret Srvice men were taken down by the hero without any scratch or real challenge.
CHANGES THAT COULD IMPROVE THE FILM SIGNIFICANTLY: On the other hand he could get some help from his organisation named The Beekeepers or from the victims daughters and friends, which could make the film more realistic and more reasonable to watch again.
Alternatively the super soldier also could have some super human fictional powers that would do justice on the great story.
I think this was because of the film didn't have enough budget to invest in more complex stunt show after paying off Jason Statham. Engaging in more complex stunt scenes to create a well coordinated operation would certainly raise the expense for other participant side actors or vfx industry.
But it is certainly at a cost of reputation. Viewers will lose their trust in the name to come and watch again if good stories are sabotaged to satisfy individual expectations.
Anyway, these are the last days of many well known action heroes in the industry. So they're more prone to make money 💰 than to leave a great legacy.
Industry needs to decide they wanna keep selling the name of some dying great names or give a chance to good stories by bringing up new faces. Keeping this in mind that recently most of the film series failed in the box office only for botched up stories. This includes, Equaliser 3, Matrix 4 and a bunch of new names.
