So disappointed. I watched the first episode and switched off 15 minutes into the second episode. It detracts from the original novel and it just ridiculous. The scene with Mrs Joe whipping Pumble chook in her bedroom is just bizarre. The swearing is also unnecessary. Just isn't what I expect of a BBC dramatisation of a classic. Absolute rubbish.
