I love this show. Although the major complaint of this show is that the plot was “overly simple” and there was no villain, I feel that that is the charm of the show. It follows a five year old boy Sosuke and the element of simplicity in the show brings us perfectly into sosukes world/ point of view where everything is bubbly and fun ( think back to when you were 5) Not to mention the outstanding artwork and animation that is beyond it’s time(to be expected of a Miyazaki film) I cannot guarantee that everyone will love this show, but it is certainly a great for children and (certain) adults alike. I watched ponyo as a 3-4 year old kid (I can’t remember) and remember adoring ponyo and wanting a ponyo too. The show seemed to relate to me as a young Asian kid and watching ponyo brings me back to a time when the world seemed so big and full of mysteries. Must watch
