It seems we're not allowed to award zero stars - that alone should give you a hint about my review. This abomination of a film is truly awful. It's almost as if they wanted to make a pastiche of a bad 50's film. The acting is inept and the script unbelievably bad. I note that a few 5 star reviews mention the location i.e. Bexhill - on - Sea and the fact that Eddie Izzard is from the area; I can only assume that he has a few friends and family trying to support his efforts by posting good reviews. Don't be fooled and don't waste your time on this tripe - even Jim Broadbent and Judy Dench give the hammiest of performances. A cliched mess. Avoid.
