Another timely & deeply thoughtful movie by Nate Parker! This project's view of how policing of Black people in this country is structurally different from anyone else is realistic. The effects this policing has on our community in general and affected families specifically are shown beautifully in the film. How police "back the blue" and support the "blue wall" even when they misuse the "powers" of their badge is unsettling at best. Also how they profile while policing scared. Expecting and getting respect from some in the public. If anyone knows the history of Black slaves and slave patrols during this time it's clear to see little has changed for us.
