I want to write so much.. but honestly, the movie has left me speechless! For the first time I think I saw the entire theatre watch the movie with pin drop silence and after the movie there was standing ovation and clapping by the audience. One of the finest masterpiece Kannada film industry has produced till date. I mean, it’s solely Rishabh Shetty’s show all the way, although everyone else have done well. Not once in the movie, I felt it was boring or cringe. The movie showcases the beauty, down to earth people, culture and rituals of Coastal Karnataka. For someone like me, who hails from this region, the movie hit me differently because I have grown up watching the rituals of Bhoota Kola live. Bhoota Kola is an age old ritual that is being followed till date. The pre-climax and climax had everyone hooked on to the screen. Rishabh Shetty’s acting was undoubtedly the best but, his acting at the ending of the movie will give you goosebumps and is spine chilling. Such a simple yet impactful movie shot in small rural areas has definitely left me in awe due to the powerful acting, dialogue delivery, visuals and cinematography. A beautifully woven story with so many emotions-anger, revenge, humour, sadness, happiness, etc Rishabh Shetty take a bow 😍🫡🙌 Deserves to win a national award !
