I really wish I had better things to say about this book because it held such an important message!
But the writing style and overall portrayal really held it back
The writing style was naïve and simple and lacked the complexity of books hyped this much.
And the weak plot really took away the message of the book. You could see the toxicity of their relationship from a mile away and the overall plot was weak.
with some tweaks it could hold a lot of potential and portray the message much better but for now... 2 out of 5

This was one of my first pandemic esc style reads and I was deeply surprised and how much I enjoyed this book.
The writing style was captivating and the plot was tightly woven but still comfortably suspenseful.
Tv series did not do it justice.

Movie was 2h 56m too long.
At the start I thought "hey this might not be so bad" it had some decent cinematography and a few good actors but I was soon proven wrong again and again.
2 hours in and i wanted to leave so badly, It had potential but like (almost) every DC movie they find a way mess it up.
Each time less creative than the last.
The plot was dragged on and on to the point where it held no meaning and it made zero sense
And Batman just happened to know all the answers to the riddles ( wow lucky)
And it was overly dramatic ( very similar to Batman vs Superman) to the point where it was draining.
I mean, at least I wasn't watching the suicide squad
The only circumstance where you should willingly watch this movie is when you need a refresher as to why Marvel is so successful :)
