I grew up in this area, and can really say that they portray the people right. There's fun being poked, but all as an inside joke we're in on. There is so much outrageous and clever humor that is kept grounded with an overarching plot of a divorced dad trying to keep close with his young daughter. It's sweet, funny, and very smart. The only sore point is when Hilary Swank takes her acting a little too Wes Anderson.
