A superb movie, also very much exceptional in USA dominated hollywood, where it has become a normal rule to show america-europe as the savior of mankind in the face of nazi atrocity during second world war. Though mostly in a seriochomic tone, the movie atleast tries to portray the great role of soviet red army, how its name inspired millions of tortured souls to live. I think this honesty is one of the reasons, if not the only reason, that the movie is still much underrated till today.
