This movie really wasn’t great but it also wasn’t as bad as what i’ve seen people chalk it up to be: - Asha’s character is very likeable and a fun kind character but can also be seen as selfish or shallow as Disney has once again failed to fully establish all the characters - King Magnifico is the only real fleshed out character and while portrayed as a villain, it actually makes sense and i think he’s mostly justified. he lost everything and had to deal with the consequences of poverty and war all on his own, he works really hard to gain sorcerer abilities to protect himself and others and yet all anyone asks for us wishes. id have a breakdown too. - the songs kinda slap and the little Star character is so so cuteeeee and i love Valentino the goat - Asha had 7 friends ???? the movie gets over saturated because she has so many friends - she really only needs Dahlia, Bazeer and Gabo and maybe Safi. i appreciate that disney tried to bring in elements of old disney movies and that Ashas friends are meant to represent the 7 dwarves but it’s too much
