The first 3 or 4 episodes were painful, but it drew me in later in season one. I liked the cast and Ruby and their interactions and connections to her but without Ruby at the center the whole thing it just seems pointless continuing. Ruby WAS the show. I watched the first episode of season 2 expecting her to pop up at any moment....and then when Ruby's voice didn't even read out her parting letter I knew something was seriously awry and she'd had an acrimonious exit. I am really disappointed she's gone. They really should have just taken a year off production to give Ruby a rest and wait for her to come back. I won't be watching season two, if you can call it that. I'd have been more interested in a BatGirl spin-off with Alfred's niece who is already a cast member and an interesting character with a shady past. It's a lost opportunity. Her taking up the BatWoman moniker, even until Ruby came back, would have made much more sense. I could forgive it for being a poor mans's Batman, but now it's just a poor woman's BatWoman.
