I watched mulan as a child and have always thought of it as a powerful film with a massive moral story and was a good representation of a equality story, this film takes away from that massively skips some of the best moments in the 1998 animation such as her struggle to prove herself in training with her comrades all while hiding the fact she is a women. This remake doesn't show any of that and tells of a girl with powers (chi) that with the powers she can be a powerful worrier which isnt what original mulan wanted (just wanted to save her father). Donnie yen as always was amazing as they clearly had a weak story and weak mane character they so filled the void with a lot of high end actors and actress! I would say this is a Disney film is a flop and would not recommend anyone to.spend money on this film.
