I just finished Immortality, the second and final (I believe) book in the Anatomy duology and I left my review for that one so I figured I should leave a review for Anatomy as well. I absolutely love these books so much. The story, the characters, the history, the descriptions, just everything. I would like to believe many of us can relate to Hazel's personality and struggles in some way despite the story being written in the 1800's. I was and still am swooning over the gothic love story. This duology has definitely left a mark on my heart. If you haven't yet, please read these books, I promise you won't regret it!

I just finished this book and I was not disappointed in the slightest. I read Anatomy a couple years ago and absolutely loved it and didn't realize until a little while ago that there was a sequel and I immediately bought it. Hazel's character is so intelligent, endearing and strongly independent that you can't help, but admire her. I love all the historical details and the way the book is written. I love the gothic tone of the story and the way Dana describes the smells and surroundings, it really feels like you're walking alongside Hazel and sharing her experiences. Definitely one of my favorite reads and stories. Its so whimsical and youthful yet respectable and mature. If you love a good gothic love story you NEED to read this duology!!!

I love this book SO much!! Olivia's character and story hook you immediately and she is such a well written character. You feel her emotions and her pain and you feel like you are experiencing her story right along with her. Not to mention the overall story of Gallant itself is so unique and original, it's not just another regurgitated motif. It truly deserves so much more attention and I wish it could become a series, but it's also a beautiful stand alone.
