See this movie! The attention to detail places you squarely into the survival and desperation of real people. Cabrini's determination pushing the system to its limits had me cheering. It's mostly a linear timeline that could be enhanced by current Hollywood storytelling, but that is a superficial flaw. If you are not aware of Cabrini's life, STOP HERE. Spoiler ahead. When I learned the movie actually hits the high points of her accomplishments it was even more compelling.

This was a terrific movie if you like Kaley Cuoco or Pete Davidson. A quirky story that has you piecing together the mystery in a mixture of Groundhog Day and Back to the Future.

Good B movie. An interesting story with only the occasional gut-wrenching gore. Lots of humorous situations, but they weren't laugh out loud funny, I especially liked the one-liner: I am authorized to shoot people because I'm a peace officer. I read one review talking about sequels using other animals. They could be called Cocaine Animals. If these movies were made 10 years ago they could have included a cameo and been in the genre of Shirley Temple Black Comedy. The series would have been Animal Crackers. And of course the sponsor would be El Pollo Loco.

This is a movie about child sex trafficking. Presented in a somber tone and without the Hollywood glitz. It was a well-crafted story pulling you deep into the underworld at a PG13 level. Some countries take it so seriously that practicing pedophiles and traffickers will never have a life again.

It was very good, but the movie competed with its own backstory. We got to see how the movie was developed along with behind the scene activity. I didn't find the backstory as interesting as the movie portion itself. To show how the movie was constructed, there were many breaks. The breaks broke the continuity of the movie portion. And the backstory immediately dissolved the fantasy of what it is to be inside the world of Wes Anderson. We were continually reminded the characters were simply actors in a movie. Sadly, I lost connection with the movie characters. I believe splicing together the movie portions would have drawn me into the story empathizing with the characters and lending a believability of the rich and detailed scenes. And this would rate 4+ stars. Another thought: The movie Barbie is coming soon, so I was watching for Margot Robbie. I kept thinking she was hidden in the background characters. She wasn't in many scenes, but today I realized she was the Mcguffin. Final thought for improving the movie portion: One of the main characters should have been replaced by an understudy for a scene or two. Could have been an amazing puzzler till they broke for background bit.

I thought this would be just another Scary Movie. But it surprised me hitting the high bars of humor, horror, fear, and the issues of real life. Just two Scary Movie hits: why would you think a masked killer would follow rules, and why would you walk away leaving your gun on the floor? Other than that a solid film.

Fantastic as a top-notch Made For TV movie. It strived for the big screen appeal with each world location identified in bold letters. I wanted to be drawn into and care about the characters. Unfortunately, the back story of each character was sparsely provided, except for April Ludgate. Just a 10-second clip of Jason Stratham's frustrating attempt to get a permit from April in Pawnee would have paid off in droves. But Aubrey Plaza was not playing April Ludgate so her first meeting with Jason was a bunch of stressful non-sequiturs. (Yes, as an Aubrey fan, I appreciated her humor. But it would've meant so much more in context.) Hugh Grant was a fabulous villain. Cool billionaire who pursues what he wants and when he doesn't get it, he pretends to do the honorable thing and let her go. And how does a billionaire get what he wants? Cold and calculating. And a bit of humor with the unexpected three-second wait for fantasy AGMs (Air to Ground Missiles). That scene alone could have added an extra star. A good actor has challenges portraying any character. Here Jason seemed to be on autopilot playing his typical tough guy. Confusing the back door for the front had the potential to be very funny. Maybe with a laugh track I would have. Josh Hartnett was humorous upon meeting Jason aboard the jet. And the last scene should have left the audience with a smile when Josh misspelled AGM and the firework(s) fizzled. I liked this movie. It had all the parts of a major blockbuster but misfired too many times.
