Aside from the scientists casting, especially Auggie who looked like she can barely count to three, the Netflix series was great. Brand new ideas cleverly integrated into an intricate yet linear plot. Some great peripheral characters. I didn’t care about the science misfires - they didn’t detract from the narrative. Probably would have benefited from cutting most of the woe is me dialogue between the scientists. I suspect the book suffers from poor translation and the usual government censorship overkill but perhaps someone could set me right on this assumption?
