Forcing a twist in the end has been Srijit Mukherji's USP for a long time and Tekka is no exception. Gone are the days when you see Srijit directing a movie and you feel it's gonna be a good one. Tekka is awful at best. All the actors other than Paran Bandopadhyay must learn basic acting skills. Predictable storyline, awful acting, ordinary music, and average camera work, nothing is enjoyable in this movie. Save yourself some time, don't watch this film.

I feel pity for those who haven't read Ramayana, and are giving 5 stars to this pathetic excuse of a show. While the animation is beautiful, the story is degraded, deformed and reconstructed in an awful manner. The dialogues do not even suit the stature of the legendary characters. In the first episode itself the story diverges from Ramayana and can't really watch for more than 15 minutes. Please don't let your children believe this is what actual Ramayana is like and let them read Ramayana from authentic sources. This show doesn't do justice to the graceful epic that Ramayana is.
